AlvegoRoot Theatre Company MANDATE
AlvegoRoot Theater Company is an independent theatre company based in London Ontario. AlvegoRoot is committed to produce classic and contemporary works of the stage. Works are created and chosen for their importance and their ability to challenge and comment on our society . They will be presented in new and exiting interpretations which challenge and comment on our world. AlvegoRoot is also committed to providing local actors and theatre artists with the opportunity to perform some of great roles in the repertoire. Our philosophy is that the one of the best ways to bring artistic excellence and growth to a project is to use a variety of viewpoints and experiment with different perspectives. AlvegoRoot strives to give theatrical artists opportunities to experiment with new ideas and take risks when bringing a work to the stage. AlvegoRoot looks for opportunities to produce works of theatre in new performance spaces that are best suited to the content of the production using non- conventional environments when appropriate and conventional. AlvegoRoot currently has a two show season but over time looks to expand with a goal of producing nine shows. One of AlvegoRoot’s missions is to make London a theatrical land mark and to market it’s shows to a wider audience with the hope of stimulating the area’s cultural activity making London a vibrant and creative community . We hope to commission Canadian playwrites and over time create n environment where they can experiment with new ideas and concepts. AlvegoRoot never shies away from controversial , challenging but always engaging theatre.
